Last year in Barbara Krasner’s Writing Family History workshop, she asked us to write about a memorable Thanksgiving. One year in particular came immediately to mind.
Recently Barbara mentioned that an online magazine called Dorothy Parker’s Ashes had a call for pieces for their December issue around the theme of “Holiday.” I loved the title of the journal and that Thanksgiving essay came immediately to mind. They accepted my piece and it was published yesterday.
